Welcome!

So that big surprise I was talking about... Well it's a done deal! Welcome to the Monster Energy Drinks Terrain Parks at West Mountain. This partnership will help grow the terrain parks at West Mountain. Our park will be expanding this season into parks. We will offer multiple terrain parks this season. As you can see or heard new features are starting to show up at the mountain and will be up for the holiday break! Don't forget about the Rail Jam on December 27th too. Once again big thanks to Monster Energy Drinks, Our Rail/Box Builder Mr. KR and to the snowmakers!

Two new sponsors have been added to the Rail Jam on December 27th! Welcome Smith Optics and Girls On Skis! Don't forget that Mike Rogge from Powder Magazine will be the guest MC for the event. Nordica Skis and Boots and Smith Optics will be on hand for the event too. There might even be a surprise visitor stopping by to judge. See everyone on Saturday for opening day and in 13 days at the Rail Jam. Don't forget tho, West Mountain Terrain Parks has a few major announcements coming this week!

Big News is coming about our terrain parks at West Mountain next week right before opening day. We'll put to rest all the rumors and let everyone know what is in-store for the upcoming season. My guess is everyone will be pretty pumped!

Series Background

The Adirondack Series was resanctioned beginning with the 2006-2007 season thanks to the cooperation of our partners:

NYSEF(New York Ski Education Foundation), National Sports Academy, ORDA(Olympic Regional Development Authority), Whiteface and Titus Mountains, and North Country Community College.

Competitor Information

Please read your rulebook (available online at www.usasa.org), especially the disqualification and protest rules before you compete. Helmets are required at all times as are properly worn bibs for both training and competition.

How do I Qualify for the Nationals?

Winners of each age division(season-long) are automatically qualified for nationals. If you are not first but have accumulated enough Nationals points based on your best three finishes in the respective discipline compared to the rest of the country you may receive an invite as well. For more details please feel free to contact me.

Membership

All competitors must be members. Here are the three types of membership available.

Free one-day trial - This is for the first-timer - never, ever tried a USASA competition. Points do not accrue towards Regional or National ranking unless upgraded to a full membership within two weeks of event. (Upgrade - $75)

$25 One-day - This is for the athlete who has tried USASA before and wants to compete for the day but does not want to be a part of the series or accrue points. NOT UPGRADABLE

$75 Full - Full membership for the current season. Points are accrued and athlete is in the running for the Regional Championship as well as a possible invite to National Competition held this year at Copper Mountain, CO from April 1-8, 2011.

VOLUNTEERS--- we always need volunteers -- usually on skis or boards to help with gatekeeping, running lists, scoring, and registration. Get in touch with me ahead of time or check in at registration day of event.

Park Update

The Park has been up and running since last Saturday after our major rebuild. Take a look at some of the features we built last week.

The Park will be closed Friday Jan. 15th for Big Air Competitors only.
